To add an individual task for a specific person, go to Tasks > Tasks and click Add a task in the upper right corner.
First, you have to name the task and add a description - the more detailed the description, the easier it will be for the employee to complete the task.
Apart from that you may add an attachment to the task or set a deadline to complete it.
Every task needs to have an assignee, a person that has to complete the task, and an assignor, a person that’s in charge of the task and will approve the outcome.
The last thing you need to set is the Automatically closed after completion switch. If you turn it on, the assignee has to confirm that the task is completed and that’s enough. If you turn it off, after the assignee confirms completion, the assignor has to manually close the task.
When everything is ready, click Add and the task is already created.
Mass task templates allow you to automatically generate individual tasks. You don’t need to manually create a task for each user. Tasks will be generated automatically based on the template.
To create a template, go to Tasks > Tasks and click the Add bulk task template button in the Mass task templates tab.
You need to name the template, you can also add a description and choose a category, but what’s most important is the name and the description of the task that will be generated from the template.
You also need to choose an assignee and an assignor. Here you don’t pick individual people but work on the fact that the template will be a part of a path.
The assignee is usually the assigned user that will get access to the path with a task template.
The assignor is usually the user’s supervisor, but you can also set some other user here. You can also leave the decision to the assignee, they can choose the assignor for their task.
You can also turn on automatic update of task assignee and assignor. For example, if your supervisor changes, the assignor of the task changes as well.
The last thing you need to set is if the task will close automatically or if the assignor needs to close it manually after assessing.
Add the template to the folder if you want to and click Add at the bottom of the page.
Publish the template and you can add it to a path later.
Go to Tasks > Tasks and then to the Individual tasks tab to manage already created tasks. Here assignors can see tasks that they oversee, managers can see tasks of their team and administrators can see every task ever created.
When you click any task on the list, you can edit it, add a comment or an attachment and close it if it’s completed.
