The trash contains deleted pages, subpages, and news and attachments stored within them. All knowledge base pages and subpages are moved to the trash before they are permanently deleted. This prevents accidental deletion of pages, as they can be restored from trash for 90 days before they are gone forever.

What happens when you move a page to the trash
- Only administrators can access and restore the page.
- The page can’t be viewed by other users and won’t be accessible from search/tiles/via URL.
- All subpages, news, and attachments are moved to the trash with it.
- The page becomes unpublished, and all scheduled publications are deleted.
- All shares are deleted.
What happens when you restore a page from the trash
- The page is unpublished.
- Scheduled publications and shares are not restored.
- All subpages, news, and attachments are restored within the page.
Can you move a subpage, news, or an attachment to the trash?
- You can move a subpage to the trash. When you restore it, it will become a standalone page.
- Attachments and news cannot be moved to the trash on their own. They can only be deleted.
How to move a page to the trash
- Go to Learn and develop > Knowledge base and select the page you want to delete from the list.
- Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner.
- Click Move to trash and confirm.
How to view the trash
- Go to Learn and develop > Knowledge base.
- Click on the three dots above the page list.
- Click View trash.
How to restore a page from the trash
- Go to Learn and develop > Knowledge base.
- Click on the three dots above the page list.
- Click View trash.
- Select a page (or pages) you want to restore by checking the box next to them.
- Click Restore in the top right-hand corner, and confirm.
