What is it?
This is a time manually estimated by an administrator, displayed to users in the course catalog, the to-do list, and on an object page.
Why is it useful?
Clearly defining the estimated completion time helps users and their managers plan the time needed for learning more effectively.
How to use this feature?
The estimated completion time is set by filling out the appropriate field during the configuration of an object. It can be set up both when adding a new object and when editing existing ones.
For programs, paths, and knowledge base pages, the estimated completion time is calculated automatically.
See how it works for different objects:
- Programs and paths: The estimated time is automatically calculated based on the time set for the objects within them.
- Trainings: Fill in the "Number of training hours" field in the training date configuration.
- Online courses: Fill in the "Estimated completion time" field in the course configuration.
- Files: Fill in the "Estimated completion time" field in the file configuration.
- Tests: Fill in the "Test time limit" field in the test configuration.
- Bulk tasks: Fill in the "Estimated completion time" field in the bulk task configuration. Remember that the field with the estimated completion time will appear to users only when they view a task assigned to them.
- Knowledge base pages: The estimated completion time is automatically calculated based on the text on the page. However, you can edit it in the page settings under the "Estimated completion time" section.
